A former lead chip architect at Apple Inc. this week filed claims that accuse the tech giant of doing the same thing to his startup, Nuvia Inc., that the iPhone maker is suing him about. Gerard Williams III, who co-founded Santa Clara-based Nuvia last year, said in a counterclaim to Apple's breach-of-contract suit against him that his former employer has been trying to recruit his staff.
