Students of Jamia Millia Islamia University in New Delhi have accused Indian police of barging into a library and attacking those studying inside.
CCTV footage from the reading room of the library allegedly shows the police entering the library on December 15, 2019, and beating up students studying peacefully.
Police targeted the library as Jamia and several other universities in India have been leading protests against a Citizenship Act, which allegedly discriminates against the Muslims. Jamia administration has stated that Delhi Police entered the campus without authorisation, used force to inflict brutal and grievous physical injuries on the students and vandalised university properties.
