Logistics firm to close Tampa site, cut jobs due to loss of Amazon contract

A delivery transportation firm is shuttering its Tampa location due to a canceled contract with Amazon. Lenexa, Kansas-based RailCrew Xpress LLC will lose the contract as of April 12. The logistics firm notified the state on Thursday that as a result of the canceled contract, 72 employees will be laid off by April 12 in Tampa at 8800 East Adamo Drive, where an Amazon Prime Now (NASDAQ: AMZN) distribution center is located.
